How ShipBid works

For shippers

Post what you need moved — a parcel, a car, a sofa, a pallet, a whole apartment. It's free. Independent carriers review your listing and send competing quotes. You compare price, transit time, and carrier profiles, then accept the one you like.

Every quote you see is the all-in price. To book, you pay a small booking deposit to ShipBid — shown at checkout — which secures the carrier and covers our service. The remaining balance is paid to the carrier directly on completion; we never hold it. The deposit is refunded if the carrier cancels or fails to show. Until a booking is confirmed, all questions and answers are public and contact details stay hidden on both sides.

Once booked, you get the carrier's phone and email, and they get yours. Arrange pickup, hand over the shipment, and mark it delivered when it arrives.

For carriers

Browse open shipments and quote the price you want to receive. Quoting is free and you never pay us anything — the customer pays a separate booking deposit to the platform. When a customer books you, you receive their contact details and collect your price from them directly on completion.

Our role

ShipBid is a marketplace, not a carrier. We connect shippers with carriers and provide the tools to compare, message, and book. Carriers are independent businesses responsible for the transport they perform.
