Carrier Agreement
Effective date: September 15, 2026
This Carrier Agreement supplements the Terms of Service and applies to every Carrier account on ShipBid, operated by ShipBid LLC. By applying to become a Carrier you agree to it.
1. Application and verification
You will provide accurate business information and upload the documents requested for the country where your business is registered (for example, in the United States: state business registration, IRS EIN confirmation, certificate of insurance and government photo ID). We review applications by hand and may request more information, verify against public registries (for example FMCSA SAFER), and approve or decline at our discretion. You must keep documents current and tell us within 7 days if your insurance lapses or your authority is suspended.
2. Independence
You are an independent business. Nothing in this Agreement creates employment, agency, partnership or joint venture. You control how, when and with what equipment you perform transportation. ShipBid does not direct your work and is not responsible for your acts or omissions.
3. Quoting
Quotes state the price you will receive. You may set a minimum for automatic lowering; the Platform will never lower your quote below it. A quote that becomes lowest by forcing others down is locked against withdrawal or increase for the period displayed. You must honour accepted quotes. Repeated withdrawals, cancellations or "bait" quotes may lead to suspension.
4. Anonymity and off-platform contact
Before booking you appear only under your handle. You must not reveal or request contact details, company names, websites or social-media handles, in any form, before a booking is confirmed; must not suggest dealing outside the Platform or avoiding the booking deposit; and must not contact Shippers you found on the Platform through other channels for transactions that did not book here. Violations are logged, may be reported by any user, and lead to warnings, cancelled quotes and permanent suspension.
5. Performing bookings
Once booked you will contact the Shipper promptly, agree pickup and delivery times, perform the transportation yourself or through your employees, and mark pickup and delivery in the Platform. You will not re-broker the job without the Shipper's written consent. You will collect your price directly from the Shipper; for your first 15 completed jobs Shippers are advised to pay on delivery, and you agree not to require prepayment during that period.
6. Cancellations
If you cancel a confirmed booking, the Shipper's booking deposit is refunded by ShipBid and the cancellation is recorded on your public profile. Frequent cancellations may result in suspension.
7. Insurance, licences and law
You are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your services, including licensing, operating authority, insurance minimums, driver qualification, customs and hazardous-materials rules. You represent that you carry insurance adequate for the goods you quote on and will provide proof on request.
8. Reviews and profile
Shippers may review you after a completed booking. Reviews are public alongside your completed-job count and cancellation rate. You may respond through support if a review violates the Terms.
9. Fees
Quoting is free. ShipBid charges Shippers a booking deposit; you receive your quoted price from the Shipper. ShipBid does not deduct anything from your price.
10. Termination
Either party may end this Agreement at any time. Open bookings must still be completed. Sections 2, 4, 6, 7 and the Terms of Service survive.
